VGChartz has today released preliminary data which suggests that Killzone 2 has already passed the 750,000 sales mark since launch. This would put the game third behind Grant Theft Auto 4 and Metal Gear Solid 4 in the list of fastest sellers on the PS3.

sounds about right really - i'm guessing in the next two weeks it'll peak at just over a million then quiet down.

I found another quote stating preorder sales of over 1 million, so you're probably right.

Also, Killzone 2’s success places it in second place behind Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 5: Prologue as the fastest selling PS3 title in the UK.

This is for UK only right, because SCE were trumpeting 1.5 pre-orders in Europe.

That's what i was thinking. UK sales charts usually come out fairly early so i assume it's for the UK after the 1 million plus European Pre-orders

Yes, its for UK sales, it also tops the UK charts, beating Halo Wars aswell

Its VGcharts so the numbers are nonsense. Doubt its that high as well. Probably 600,000 first week. Higher for the month. Its not a sequel to a mjaor franchise or anything. KZ3 should do bigger numbers though.

2nd week seems much more active online so i guess the multiplayer is really attracting new people.

That number is worldwide guys, the 1 million pre order number was preordered to retail stores not to customers. Seems a good start to me.
