Endless supply of enemies?

I've found in certain situations it's impossible to kill every single one, as more just ending up coming. I'm pretty sure at one time i killed at least 40 and there were still more coming. I was in the same place for half an hour!

Then i had the smart idea of running through the whole thing, covering, killing a few, running forward, covering, killing a few (thers still some behind me shooting me in the back ) running forward, covering, killing a few..etc etc

is anybody else experiencing this? or is it just me? am playing on hard

Re: Endless supply of enemies?

It appears that there are points you have to get to, to stop the enemies from re-spawning..

On the bridge level, I hung back and used up all my ammo until I realised that they were never going to stop coming.

I then ran for it and found that now, once I killed a Hellgast, they didn't come back.

This is pretty poor, as I was under the impression that one of the positive aspects of the reviews was that the enemies DID NOT respawn like this!

yes i agree, have to admit I am really enjoying the game but this is kinda ruining it for me. It's got to the point where I get to an area where I realise there is an endless supply, then try the running forward, covering and shooting cycle a million times because I keep dieing... - some bugger I haven't killed will shoot me from the side, or from above.

The reason it's ruining it is because it's just getting repetitive playing the same 2 minute sequence over and over again.

Re: Endless supply of enemies?

I was wondering if anybody else had noticed this! The infinite enemy respawning on the Bridge level is totally unnecessary. I just don't see the point of it at all. The bit on the bridge itself is bad enough but the sequence just after has the same issue. Hopefully, enough people will complain about it and Guerilla will release a patch so there's only a limited number of Helghast at these points. I doubt it'll happen though!

Yeah it happened to me on the bridge level too! Hopefully they patch this soon...it also happened on another level where at the end you run up some stairs, pilot a turret gun of some sort, turn it around and kill all the helghast behind you

shame it took me about 20 turns to reach the turret

Re: Endless supply of enemies?

It's pants and some of the online reviews have basically lied in regards to "no infinite respwan"

It's not hard to spot...on the bridge level you can see them bloody appear...poor.

Its the first game in years that has had me smash a controller, re-spawning enemies is s**t, very poor, -2 points from any review for that.

I was close to that stage, but 2 weeks ago I smashed a controller because Seth the final boss on SF4 was impossible to beat. So i had second thoughts before i was about to smash a controller this time

I think that someone needs to complain to Sony about this - the reduction of quality in the controllers that is you could chuch a PS2 controller and leave a whole in your wall and it would still work fine. These rubbish PS3 controllers break on impact leaving a black mark and plastic everwhere
