KZ2 No sound through AMP on optical

Hi all, got my copy of KZ2 yesterday and went round my mates on the way home to play it. He has a 40GB PS3 and a Panasonic 855 Cinema system 5.1. But when we load up the game there is no sound at all, if you exit the game and select HDMI in the sound settings all works fine (with sound from the TV), switch back to optical out with the default ticks (can't remember off the top of my head 5.1 etc) still no sound, check all the tick boxes still no sound...? Works fine with all other games though! Any clues?

Thanks

I have the same problem, I believe this is due to the game outputting 7.1 sound not 5.1. It is annoying as there seems to be no way to change the audio output of the game to 5.1 which our systems would recognise and be able to process. Cant believe Sony have let this slip through the net!!!

Go into your optical out settings on the PS3 cross bar menu and set it to Dolby Digital and AAC ONLY or one or the other, leave the 2 default settings. I had this problem too, basically you have to set the optical output to the correct setting on the PS3.

By the way I have a Panasonic SA-PT850 all in one surround sound system. I have the PS3 optical output set to Dolby Digital and AAC. Works fine.
