Just tried to copy my save file to move it to another ps3 and a message comes up saying this is not allowed, does anyone know of a reason for this, have never come across this before on another game.

I'm sure there are other games that do not allow the copying of save games. I suspect it's due to the introduction of trophies and a way to prevent people from cheating regards the number of trophies they have achieved.

Yeah, there are other games that prevent it as well, like Ratchet and Clank.
It's annoying though, especially if you don't want to back up the whole system.

Yeah I had the same problem on R6V2, which was a pain when my PS3 went kaput and it wouldnt let me copy the save so I had to start my online from scratch. And thats a game that doesn't even have trophies.

i have the same problem this the the only game sofar that i have that wont let me copy the save/s
ratchet and clank is fine for me

Possibly as Moogle said below - look at COD4 cheats (aimbots, clan name colours etc)

It also stops people from copying to their PCs so that they can't alter/fiddle with the game in any way what so ever.

WAS THE SAME, since the update you can now back it up. Very useful seeing how motorstorm has a habit of screwing the game save.
