Are the team colours on mp still the really washed out red & green, as they were on the beta?

Reason I ask is that I'm colour blind and couldn't tell the difference between them

I don't know what they were like on the beta, but they are not very bright red imo, the dots on the radar in contrast are very bright, which is odd really, they could have used the same for both.

Still red & green I'm affraid. Saying that, regardless of the colour, if you see a name above their heads, they're on your side - no name is the opposition. As friendly-fire is off - shoot first then check later!
