Re: More maps: Flash and Thunder

Well it's been announced it's going to be $5.99 in the US so I guess £4.99 in the UK. Same as last time.

Re: More maps: Flash and Thunder

What a rip off!.....$5.99 equates to roughly £3.79!

These were obviously in the pipeline along with Steel & Titanium...........would have been a bit sweeter to have released all 4 maps in one pack for the £4.99, not so many people would have had issues paying for them then.

Re: More maps: Flash and Thunder

As much as I'd like it to be free for us I will pay for it the moment it comes out. Bored of Wasteland but had two great "Long games" on Cruiser yesterday.

i have to agree!

its a bit of a rip off in my eyes! n:
if not offer it for free to those who bought the 1st DLC, the least they should do is offer the new DLC at a reduced rate.

Re: More maps: Flash and Thunder

There will be a variety of DLC that will also be free so dont worry. Also not all DLC are going to be maps.

Prices are fair compared to other fps though. Its not the most expensive but also not the cheapest.

Re: More maps: Flash and Thunder

One more day! Got day of Colege tomorrow. Play all day then be ready to buy and download at 3 just like last time, lol.

My brother doesn't fancey buying the maps so if I bought the maps and then logged onto his PS3(I've already connected mine to his from before), would I be able to download both map packs for him and he can still use them when he logs on his account?

Re: More maps: Flash and Thunder

I'm guessing it's going to be £4 again for the 2 maps which i think is a tad on the expensive side. I think all maps should be £1 each

It's think it's been confirmed it'll be $5.99 in the US so I'm guessing £4.99 for us again.

Re: More maps: Flash and Thunder

I'm upset. PS3 broke months ago with Killzone in it and I still haven't got the disk back from Sony after numerous calls. Bought the first DLC after it broke and only played it for about an hour when I borrowed my brothers copy.

So I have the last DLC to play, the new patch to get and try out and a new set of maps to possibly purchase that I can't use

Fingers crossed Sony get their finger out and send me my disk back soon as otherwise by time I get back on the game everyone will have moved on to something else.

Anyone getting error 80023102 when trying to purchase maps? I think it may because of heavy use, as COD maps out today as well.

Any good then? Saying that I've still only played the train one twice and the cruiser not even once yet so porbably a waste of money for me.

Paid the £4.79. Half hour later i had all the new trophies and moved on. They saw me coming

They're OK but i think these prices are too steep for just 2 maps.

The nuke level is brilliant tho i just cant help but look at the bright light. Its just so nice and look.....Boom i'm dead.

So far Guerilla have had £40 off me on killzone. In total i'd say money well spent. 4 months later and i still enjoy it.

I really hope MW2 has a decent bit clan support similar to this.

what are the maps like, can they be compared to other maps?
are they worth the £5?

have to agree £5 for 2 maps is pricey but KZ2 is an awesome game!

Re: More maps: Flash and Thunder

Hey mate, these are chalkywhyte's impression (so don't thank me thank him) but I totally agree with them after playing on the new maps last night, well worth £4.79

Quote:
After a few hours playing both maps here's my views.

Beach Head.
Do not play this with more than 10 a side max. Its pure bedlam 32 players. I like it a bit more but its basically radec without the walls. Very dark map with trenchs and a couple of high spots and a little pipe area where you could try and hide the assasination target but make sure they're well defended. but don't bother going high as you'll come down quickly if you can make it up.

Air bots placed in the middle of the map will get you lots of kills. Speaker is also hard as both drop off points are right at each others base. Boost will be needed to get through any defences or you'll end up drawing that round. S&D not too bad but as both are at the sides but the ISA have the advantage of having theirs closer to home.

Overall a decent map but to small for large games.
Still a 7/10 for me.

Southern Hills, (i'm sure this was the name of a sonic level)
Still the better of the 2 new maps. The timed nuke is brilliant you'll find you'll get caught out and if you don't you'll prob run into a building occupied with the enemy which i did alot lol.
You'll find in this map that most of the action will take place in the central structure. Both speaker drop offs are in the centre on the first floor. S&D is at the sides of the map so not to close to either base. Good spawns are essential. C&H are spread out with each having a home base and the other in the central area which will be a round decider like the bridge in Pyrrhus. Assasination targets are easy to hide away but then you need to defend well as there is always multiple ways of taking them down.

Overall a great map. But i feel most of the action will take place in the 1 structure in the middle.
Still a 9/10 Simply for the nuke. Its amusing watching everyone run for cover.
And the nuke destroys all bots in the open. if youre in the open on a S&D the tide can easily shift with alot of losses.
