Increasing Low BB Speed Talk Talk Speed Boost

I am currently wih Talk Talk on their Talk 3 International. We moved to a different area 3 years ago and my BB speed went down from 1MB to 0.5MB at the time of the move, a speed I have had ever since. The reason given by TT was the distance from the exchange which I accepted at the time. Since the move the exchange has been converted to LLU but the speed stayed the same.

When I use the speed check on the TT website it indicates "up to" 2MB. I was wondering if I could get an increase with TT by signing up to their Global Evening and Weekend package and would I get a noticeable increase by signing up to their Speed Boost package?

Thanks

Possibly. Have you tried the samknows website and put your phone number in there? It should bring back a full report on what your exchange can do and what speed you might get.

Re: Increasing Low BB Speed Talk Talk Speed Boost

Things have moved on - I phoned TT today and spoke to their landline and broadband people. Apparently I do not have Broadband and I am not on their unbundled exchange!!! This dispite being told last year that I had migrated to the LLU (by letter). They even asked me who I was paying for my BB and were surprised to hear that I was with them as it is not showing on their system.

They are going to escalate the problem and will get back to me with the results of their investigation!

What a total joke, I'd love to hear what they say when they get back to you!
