pioneer lx5090 cal needed done but would like some info thanks on modes first

Lee has asked me to calibrate his display. He has asked me this in private and I have replied.

My answer is...

It makes no difference whether you use STANDARD or OFF for progressive 50Hz sources. I have read the conflicting info on this and am not interested in debating it further on here. I'd suggest that if it's a worry then have it set to STANDARD for progressive 50Hz sources for peace of mind.
