ISF calibration pioneer pdp-lx5090 Birmingham?

Hi, I would like my new pioneer pdp-lx5090 calibrated but it is still very new had around about 8-9 hours of usage. Around how much am i looking at and will it make any diffrence to the SD picture quilty as i need this to be good as i have a small room. Is it important to let it have 200 hours of burn in time before calibration. Thanks

Re: ISF calibration pioneer pdp-lx5090 Birmingham?

Hi there,

To answer your questions,
Yes, I would clock up 200 hours before calibration.
Yes, it will improve SD as well as HD. (Just don't expect ITV4 to look like a Blu-ray ) Correct grayscale, colour decoding and dynamic range will benefit both SD and HD content. Furthermore a calibrator will select the best video processing options to give you the cleanest picture in both cases.

Piers (Home Cinema Engineering), Gordon (Convergent AV) and myself will all gladly cover Birmingham though Piers is physically the closest to you. Contact us by PM to discuss prices etc.

Hope that helps,
Iain
