Hi,

Does anyone know of a good app to convert .mkv files to the relevant format for my touch?

There is a catch however. The files I want to convert are in Japanese Audio with English subtitles. I can use Videora for the job and it converts well in terms of image quality but it does not seem to want to pick up and embed the subs.

Can anyone point me in the right direction

Also whilst i am here, i used to use AnyDVD and CloneDVD mobile to convert my DVD's to portable format but for some reason these do not seem to want to work on any of my PC's (some mencoder.exe error) anyway, have moved on to Handbrake but it is not the most intuative/straightforward app. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good DVD converter that lets you select the audio tracks you want + Subs if need be and also does anyone know what the best de-interlacing methods are to use for quality.

Have you tried xvid4psp? I find it the best converter around, in saying that I have never needed to convert mkv to mp4 for an ipod touch!

The name is very misleading! It converts everything to everything! It's a brilliant piece of software especially for free!!
