Just got my iPhone and setting it all u.....should i be able to connect to the internet, youtube etc without connecting via a wifi connection??

Doesn;t seem to be able to connect? Is this right? Any ideas?

I'm having major connection issues on 3g tonight. Anyone know what's going on ?

Hmmm seems to be ok now. That's the first network prob I've had since I got the phone about 3 months ago.

Seems to have started about 7 o clock. I'm on o2 contract. Anyone else have probs this evening ?

no issue,
the speed did slow down a lot,
but i had to many apps running so after clearling those,
the speed was fine

Does 3G only come on sometimes?? Do not all areas have coverage?

One more question....if you have something running ie app or ipod how doyou close it cleanly?? Or is it always left open?

just hold the home button for 3 secs,
also works,

for example safari if you press home it will close but still runs in the back ground and eating away at the tiny amount of memory available,

if you hold the home button for 3 secs it quits safari,

works same with all apps,

you can try this by running few of the main apps ipod, safari and you tube,

then you'll notice its getting abit sluggish,

then go back to safari/youtube and ipod one at a time and hold 3 sec home button and it will quit,

and then performance will return
