Hey all, quick question. I've jailbroken my 3G many times using quickpwn, but my friend has just got an iPhone and wants me to do his.
He is on 2.2.1, but I just need to make sure I have a correct file to jailbrake, I have the quickpwn file, but I know I need another file.
Also, when I pwn his phone, will he lose his apps, photos, contacts?

Just ensure you sync with itunes first and back everything up. Itunes will back up his apps, contacts and photos. Check out www.iclarified.com for info on how to jailbreak the device. It's what I have always used when updating my firmware or whenever I jailbreak a device for a friend. Not sure if the iphone can be unlocked to all networks if your on version 2.2.1
