Question iTunes not autostarting when (replacement) iPhone connected.

Hi all,

All of a sudden, iTunes doesn't automatically start when I connect my iPhone.

The iPhone is a warranty replacement and I *think* the problem has only started since I got this replacement (I could be wrong and it could just be coincidence!).

It's not a major pain, as I can obviously manually start iTunes, but if I can get it auto starting again I'd be a happy bunny!

Cheers.

Did you disable 'iTunes Helper' in your startup programs? Thats what detects an apple device and automatically starts iTunes.

I don't have an iTunes Helper in Startup (just checked using MSCONFIG), but there is an iTunes entry and it's ticked.

How bizarre....

I've just manually updated iTunes (Help>Check for updates) and connected my iPhone and guess what.......??

It autostarted and autosynced!

Go figure!
