Hi guys.

My wife has an early 2G iPhone, and has dropped it a few times just recently.

As a result the the phone now constantly turns itself off and she didn't take out any insurance.

She has around 3 months left on her contract, and desperate to replace her iPhone one way or another as her current one has become un-useable.

She has spoken to someone at O2, however I don't think they were very helpful as they explained that the only thing she can do is wait the 3 months for her contract to expire and then upgrade to the newer 3G model.

She cannot go for 3 months without her beloved iPhone, does anyone have any other options to suggest.

If she's desperate I'd suggest taking out a new contract now to get a new 3G iPhone and cancel the old one in three months when that contract ends.
