Hi Guys
Could anyone help me and I am sorry if its been asked before but I have a Virgin sim in my Iphone 2G with an allowance of 300 mins and 300 texts for £10 my question is since I have had the sim say 6 months ago I always get charged for connecting to the web so my bills are around £15 althought the only time I do this is free with a wireless connection its doing my head in any help would be great.

the iphone uses a data connection for a number of things, if you dont have data included in your tariff then you will get charged for it....

I dont think there's a way to disable data connections on the iphone as they were designed as a device that would require data (hence its included in the o2 tariff).

Could you just enter the wrong APN settings on your iPhone, then your data won't work from the network. However when you're in a WiFi zone, you'll still pick it up.
