Re: car holder for iphone?

Check out the brodit stuff, have excellent vent mounts for nearly all makes/models/vent locations.

Re: car holder for iphone?

actually its not that expensive for the combination i'd want. Do you know how easy it is to remove the iphone mount section from the car mount bit and the car mount from the car? Obv i dont wanna leave something obvious on display as people then know I might have something within the car.

Re: car holder for iphone?

The ones I've used in the past have small screws to connect the actual holder/dock to the Brodit vent clip. I cant think that there is an easy way to remove the whole thing.

I'm not sure a thief would necessarily be more tempted to break into your car if you have a holder installed, surely most would correctly assume that you have taken your iphone/mobile phone/PDA with you?

An alternative would be to look into strong, flat magnets that you could glue to the holder and the vent clip. I have used these before on passive holder (those that do not charge) and they are excellent. the only drawback to this is that I now use a hard wired active charging cradle so there is no benefit to this method.

Re: car holder for iphone?

i think tbh most people would spot a holder of some sort n think they've left somet in the vehichle, most would prob assume it is for satnav and break in and assume u've left it in the obvious places. I mean ya wouldn't leave a screen mounted holder on display would ya? I was hoping these involved somet sort of magnets already hmmmm, ill have to have a look at them close up i think
