hi,

i have some contacts on my iphone...and some contacts on my mac address book (not necessarily all the same).

since i use gmail, i want to keep my gmail contacts and my mac address book sync'ed. now that i have the sync feature working from mac address book to gmail, i now need to get all my contacts sorted on the mac address book before i sync with gmail so they are all in sync. i can then sync my iphone up with my mac address book and all three will then be in sync.

the above may be a bit waffly but what i want to know is this:

how do i get all my contacts from my iphone in to my mac address book without typing them individually? can i achieve this without having to overwrite what is already in my mac address book?

Why can't you just sync them with iTunes? You should get the chance to reconcile incompatibilities during syncing.

Or say goodbye to manual syncing with MobileMe (but it'll cost you!).

thanks but i ended up manually updating my address book. it's done now.
