Surely all your contacts and data etc is backed up on your computer through iTunes?

Re: Lost my iphone 3g

Obviously they'll see your contacts just via the iPhone, but when they connect it to iTunes they won't be able to see you account details etc as they're computer will not be 'authorized' without your iTunes password. It will just sync to their iTunes and wipe everything off that you put on there.

Re: Lost my iphone 3g

Im pretty sure you can brick it via Microsoft Exchange if you have that set up? In have never done it myself, but I remember Apple doing a demo in one of there Keynotes.

Re: Lost my iphone 3g

Contact O2 and tell them otherwise you will be liable for any charges incurred. At the same time get the IMEI number from the box. O2 should be able to add the number to the blacklist stopping them from using it as a phone.

Re: Lost my iphone 3g

Also if you have it , check your home contents insurance for away from home cover. You may have to pay £50 to £100 excess but still cheaper than a new phone.
