Newbie Question

Hi guys/gals

Got my iPhone yesterday. How do i delete an application ? Got ebay mobile and ebay on the screen but dont want the mobile version.

press and hold on any application, they will start to shake from here you can press the little X in the top left to delete it or press and hold to move that application around so you can change to order or drag it onto the next screen.

Oh and once finished press the home button to go back to the normal screen!

in short yues and no - you can only use tunes downloaded from itunes - you can covert an MP3 in itunes to be a ring tone.

this guide will show you how:

Free Custom iPhone Ringtones using only iTunes - TheAppleBlog

or jail break it and you can download a number of half decent ones from Cydia.

I'm not a fan of ringtones myself i like phones that sound like phones. but each to his own.
