For those who bought the 8GB

I was just wondering, those of you who bought the 8GB iphone...

do you regret not getting the 16GB for the extra cost ~£50 or are you happy enough with the 8GB?

i'm happy with my 8gb iphone. i don't really use it to carry my music though. even if i did, i'd be quite happy rotating my music collection on the 8gb iphone.

Nah plenty of space available for music and movies, as soon as Ive watched some episodes and movies they get recycled so always have enough to watch and listen to IMHO.

Errm.. well as I still have 4gb free I would be mighty fed up paying another 50 quid for nothing LOL.

Each to their own.....

Re: For those who bought the 8GB

More than happy with my 8GB. Since I often plug in the iPhone to my PC to backup and sync data, it's no hassle to shuffle around music that matches my tastes at the time

If it were a more complicated or time consuming process I might have been more frustrated.

Re: For those who bought the 8GB

Wish I got the 16GB.

I was going to but they were out of stock and the o2 dude says "you can spend the money you save on taking ur gf out for a meal tonight"

Shame she was there and was forced into it lol.

Seriously 8gb is small for a phone labled as a IPOD. Swear the first ipod i had when I was about 13 was 20gb???

so 20gb on the 1st gen ipod for just music

now 8gb for music, films AND games

Re: For those who bought the 8GB

Whe i bought one i went for the 16GB simply due to maybe one day beign in the position where i need that extra 8GB.
BUT remember around 1GB is taken up with random files so you really only get 7GB or about 14 1/2GB.

Id go for the 16GB just in case you need the extra room, at least you wont ever be able to regret it.

Re: For those who bought the 8GB

I have the 8GB. I have about 20 music video's, two full length movies, 15 video podcasts, a couple of music albums and still have 3.8GB left. Suits me perfectly !

Re: For those who bought the 8GB

Cheers for all the feedback guys. I have an 80gb ipod so I am pretty sure I will go for the 8GB as £350 is more than enough to pay for a phone.

Talking Re: For those who bought the 8GB

I'm more than happy with my 8GB.

IT WAS FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that's much cheaper than the £169 or whatever it was for the 16GB

Re: For those who bought the 8GB

I had an 8GB iPhone, when i bought my 3G i got a 16Gb, my advice would be get the the biggest one you can afford, you will use the space. There are things you can do to the phone (that i'm not allowed to mention on here) that really make you fill it up.

If you can afford the 16Gb then get it.

Re: For those who bought the 8GB

I have 16GB, I had 32GB Touch before this and was used to cramming everything in so even the 16GB seems on the small side - just have to get used to being more selective and deleting what I've watched (I have mostly films on mine).

Another thought is that a 16GB should have a better resale value in a year or so than an 8GB, especially if things have moved on and we're seeing 32GB Iphones and 64GB Touchs.

If only Apple had included a micro SD reader we wouldn't have this thread...

Re: For those who bought the 8GB

I'd personally recommend 16gb. That way you have room for everything like music, videos, photos and apps. I don't know many people with less than 8gb of music, let alone all the new music that will be coming out in the next 18 months (how long you'll have your iPhone for). I like to always have some videos on it too, and yes you can chop and change, but if you're away from you computer for awhile like on holiday then the 16gb is really the best option. As someone else has said, the resell value will be higher too.
