Keep getting lost connection on iphone 3g

This is getting abit annoying now, I have nlimited web blot on but it keeps saying safari cannot open as it's lost connection , can anyone help please thanks

I don't have the answer but this has happened to my iPhone 3g. Where I work is not in a 3G area and I occasionally get the same message. I wondered if it was during peak use times but I may be wrong. I just reload the page and on the second or third attempt it is fine. Today it has not failed to load.

My connection has been dropping on and off to. Getting really annoying as when it drops out I lose my push email. The only way of getting it back is to fire up safari and load a web site or toggling 3g on and off. As my phone is jailbroken I have spotted that the phone is losing it's IP address and is struggling to get a new one. Setting the phone to 2g fixes the push email problem but it is horribly slow!
The same issue is being reported over at the o2 forums.

This same thing has been happening to me for some months now and Ive had enough of it so im taking mine back to the store tommorow. Might need reparing.

I had the same problem so booked into the genius bar at the trafford centre last weekend, the guy asked a few usual questions and did a test which showed the phone was getting a weak signal, 15mins later i left with a brand new phone and signal strength and connection have been fine since.

Worth a try folks.
