First Bill

Just about to take out a new conact and go for the iphone through CPW Just a quick question, if i was to take out the phone tomorow, when wold the first bill/payment be taken from my bank and would it be for a full month? Or can i choose when it comes out? But then how far away from the 'connection date' can i set it?

Hope this makes sense.i need some sleep now.

Thanks!

Re: First Bill

My monthly bill is normally generated around the 6th of the month and payment goes out around the 20th. When you get your phone you will normally make a payment around two weeks later and then each month after that.

The first bill is normally for a little more than the normally monthly total (mine was £38.38) to make up for the few days between when your phone arrives and your billing cycle starts. My phone arrived on the 3rd but my bills start on the 6th each month.

Not sure if you can choose when your bills come out your account. But using the above you should be able to work out when to take out a contract to coincide with a payment date convenient for you.

So if i was to take out the contract today, i'd probably make my first payment on or around the 23rd/26th (weekend in between) for around £50 (£45 contract) and then the same date the month after. That would be ideal.

Thanks!

Re: First Bill

i took out a contract with t-mobile for the G1 on the 29/12/08, i was advised the first payment will usually be taken within 3 weeks.

Got my first bill and it has been scheduled for the 13th.

Generally with mobile contracts you cannot choose the first payment date but after that you can change it.
