Screen Scratch

Hi all,

I got a new iPhone 3g xmas day, all was fine until the phone kept crashing, so i took it back to apple on january the 2nd and got a new one the same day, today however i noticed i have a scratch on my iPhone screen!, i keep it in a padded pocket with nothing else in it at all to prevent it from scratches, it may only be a small scratch but it is still noticable! Im really annoyed as i thought the screens were very scratch resistant! If i was to go back to the apple store again and ask for a replacment would i be given one or am i just being to fussy ( I wouldnt normally care about minor scratches but as the phone costs me and my family alot of money and it was a gift im very annoyed about it!)
So where do i stand??

Thanks Ethan,

Re: Screen Scratch

I reckon you would struggle to persuade them that the scratch was there when they gave it you - did you check it in the shop?

I suppose this also reinforces the argument for banging on a shield immediately - what's the best one or, more precisely, which one least effects the visual appearance as the invisishield apparently makes it quite cloudy?

I bought an invisible shield for it but couldnt put it on as the front protector got dirt on it when applying to the phone so im waiting for a new one in the post!

Does anyone know how long the returns warranty is on the iphone , 28days?

anyone had any issues like this before and how did you resolve it??

Re: Screen Scratch

Just dont worry about it. Got a couple on mine, but you cant treat it like a newborn for ever. Use it like it was meant to be used, dont worry about scratches and you'll enjoy owning it a whole lot more
