Ebay UK why the prices?

Maybe I am missing something but I have been watching ebay as I want to get an iphone 3g. Anyone any idea why someone would bid over £350 plus postage for an 8G when they can buy one in the apple store for less?
Some really mad prices, or is it scammers?

Because they will be unlocked I'd imagine. Either people aren't aware that yellowsnow is available and free or they aren't confident enough to do it themselves

Probably unlocked iphones, also lots of people on ebay who don't have a clue!!
