Iphone remote speaker problem

Just downloaded the remote app for me iphone 2g & I can match it up no problem with itunes on my mac but I can't seem to get any sound output on my iphone, I've tried playing a song & tapping the screen but I don't see any speakers to select from.

Thanks
Steve

Errr, if I am understanding your post correctly, then you will never be able to get music from the iPhone as it isn't designed to do this!
The Apple remote app is just that, a remote control for iTunes on your PC/Mac and will only play out of the speakers connected to the PC/Mac (or network.)

I agree with daveR above, however, if i think you're after playing songs / files that are on your pc / laptop on your iphone, you need a programme from the app store called Simplify Media, which works great. You can also play files from friends music lists providing you 've got a wifi connection
