Takes ages to make a call

Does anyone else have this problem? I call someone and it takes about 30 seconds for it to start ringing, very annoying.

I also never seem to be able to connect to youtube or the App Store when i have 3g connection - it always tells me it is unavailable.

Has anyone had this problem before - the phone calling is the main one as it takes ages just to connect.

I have the same issue when making calls - very frustrating. You should be able to view the App Store over 3G (although I believe you can only download from it over wifi). I think you need wifi for Youtube to work...

App Store should work fine over 3G, but anything large, over 10Mb I believe requires Wi-Fi.

By the same token You Tube should work fine over 3G, if I recall it worked on EDGE on the original iPhone.

Yeah i have the phone call lag, i also have a massive lag when i leave my building and wait for a signal bars to make a call. (I lose recpetion in the lift lobby )

Sometimes takes 2-3 minutes before i get a signal again. I've given up trying to use Youtube, iPlayer and App Store. It all waits until i'm on my home pc, shame really.

Re: Takes ages to make a call

Oh I know I *should* be able to get youtube and app store over 3G, just seems that I can never connect when 'only' on 3G.

Very frustrating, maybe the 2.2 update might help? Fingers crossed.

Re: Takes ages to make a call

Even when updating applications or installing new ones with App Store over wifi though causes me problems sometimes - they only ever get rectified once I re-sync with itunes. Appears to be a reasonably common problem.
