I've had a quick scan and seen this has cropped up a few times - can the 3G handset be tethered please?
If yes - is there a how-to guide knocking about (google didn't furnish me with much...):

You can if jailbroken. Its very easy to do and works well. However, it does eat through the battery as you can only do it with an ad-hoc Wifi connection.
