Currently saving my pennies for an iphone 3G on pay and go from 02 this xmas.

Just doing some research and it seems that the official dock only has 1 output for charge/sync. This would mean that unless I wanted to keep my PC on overnight (no going to happen) I would need to swap the docking cable over to a wall adapter to charge when my PC wan't on.

This seems rather strange as the dock is supposed to limit the amount of cable issues!

Is there a 3rd party solution that would allow me to charge from a wall adapter while also syncing with itunes? Or am I condemed to a nightly cable swap ?

The dock cable is just a cable with USB one end and dock connector the other end, just need to take the USB from computer and plug it into the USB port on the wall charger. Not that much of a hardship really.

I brought a copy for £3 or you could buy the apple one for £10

Thanks for the responses. Just thought it was worth an ask as my current Sony Ericsson K800i dock has both sync and charge outlets.

I know its not much of a hardship but when older, lesser featured phones have this ability, combined with the iphone's apparent lack of Wifi Sync its dissapointing to learn that I'll be swapping over the usb cable everytime.
