Help needed with my new iPhone.

Just bought an iPhone 3G today and everything is working ok so far appart from a couple of issues.

1. I cant seem to manage to use my songs as ringtones. Anyone has any ideas how to do this? I found a couple of tutorials on the net but still no hope.

2. I have turned Bluetooth on but when trying to send a picture to my phone from another it says 'sending image failed'. Appart from that it seems to be quite hard for another device to find my phone. Also how do i send a picture from my iphone to another phone via bluetooth?

I would be very grateful if someone can help please because it is getting a bit fustrating.

Re: Help needed with my new iPhone.

1. You can't use songs that are in the "iPod" section of the phone as ringtones. You need to edit a song on the computer and save as an M4R file and sync to the iPhone using itunes;

Create Custom iPhone Free Ringtones using only iTunes - compatible with iTunes 7.7.1 and iPhone 2.0.1 firmware | iPhoneIndiaBlog.com

2. Bluetooth on the iphone is RUBBISH and doesn't support any kind of file transfer, be it between other phones or computers. It is only for use with bluetooth ear pieces / headsets, and bluetooth car phone systems

Re: Help needed with my new iPhone.

1. Do a search for iringer on pc or garageband on mac. They both enable you to create your own tones.

2. You can`t send anything by bluetooth, the iphone does not have the software to enable this, and as such bluetooth is used only for connecting to headsets, car kits etc.

Re: Help needed with my new iPhone.

Yup iringer is a great app that is free and will convert your music to 30 second ringtone files to add to itunes

Bluetooth is rubbish. Along with all the other "failings" of the iphone like mms and whatever

Re: Help needed with my new iPhone.
