Where to buy an Iphone 3G.

Am thinking of getting an iPhone and was wondering if there are any advantages to getting it from a certain place.
Near where I live are O2, CPW and even an Apple shop.
Someone said that CPW sell non-specific phones - does this mean that O2 would be branded as an O2 phone - something I wouldn't really want.
I take it none of them sell unlocked phones as I am currently with Orange, and would rather keep my contract with them, but cant afford 400 odd quid for a non-contract one (although i guess this would still need unlocking!?!?!!?)

Cheers for any advice

Re: Where to buy an Iphone 3G.

They are all locked. You can unlock the new 3G ones but it requires TurboSim (Google it, as im not sure whats allowed to be talked about on here)

If you buy it through CPW on the website, go through Quidco - The web's cashback cooperative and you'll get £45 cashback.

If you want to continue to use your Orange contract, then buy a 2G one from eBay for half the price, dont pay the monthly fees and its easier to unlock. I run mine on Orange on 2.1 firmware and its fine.
