iPhone 3G sim in another phone

I am using another phone with my iPhone 3G sim, will they charge me for my data, or will that still be included as I haven't changed anything on my tarriff.

I have tried searching, but not found my answer.

Many thanks

Re: iPhone 3G sim in another phone

Is this the pay and go sim? I am wanting to know this answer too. Bought a pay and go iphone and am using my own contract o2 sim on it.

Going to use this contract and take the free wifi/cloud access (by logging in using the pay and go number)

But want to see if I can give the pay and go sim to my brother and hopefully still get to use the free 12 months data access.

Re: iPhone 3G sim in another phone

I had an email back from O2, saying that I can use my iPhone 3G pay monthly sim in another phone and use data without charge.

I would be careful using a non iPhone sim in the iPhone because of the amount of data it uses.

It will use data even when you think it wont.

I think there is a setting somewhere called location services which uses data in the background.

Re: iPhone 3G sim in another phone

If it is a PAYG iPhone 3G sim then all I know is that in the small print that comes with the sim that O2 can cancel the account if the sim is used in a phone other than the iPhone, but it's pretty wooley and open to interpretation. Depends how they might find out it is being used in a different phone I guess.

Yup using my non iphone o2 sim but have a free data tariff so not too worried about that.

That's good news on the pay and go sim too so i can give it to my brother and let him take advantage of the free data on that too.
