Ghost image of iPhone?

In another thread, and interesting point was raised, and I thought it warrented it's own thread...

I know you can restore the firmware on an iPhone in iTunes, and then restore a previous backup so that recent SMS, along with all your contacts and settings etc and put back on the phone....

But if you have a jailbroken phone, you need to re-jailbreak and unlock it all over again, then download and install all your Cydia/Installer apps, etc etc.

Is there a way, or a service/program, you can use that creates a ghost image of the phone, then if the phone goes kaphooey, you can use this program to restore the whole phone, complete with firmware (that it's currently running on) and all your settings and keep it jailbroken/unlocked and keep all your 3rd party apps?

Kind of like when your hdd fails and you have a Raid set up, you can just use the other hard drive as it's a mirror of the original.....

Re: Ghost image of iPhone?

No there isnt, there is an app on Cydia called aptbackup which backs up all your cydia apps with your itunes backup so you can restore them easily though. The normal iTunes backup does the rest.
