hi there,

i have a jailbroken 1.1.4 2G iphone on an orange contract. and i'm using a pc.

i want to upgrade my phone to 2.1 so i want to back up as much stuff as possible.

so, i had a few questions:

1) to back up stuff in general do you have to tick and untick all the relevent boxes then click the sync button at the button? and does that then do everything you have selected? is it not possible to just sync say photos and leave everything else as it is?

2) in the calenders section it says there is no supported software on my pc. is there some programme i could use to backup my calender?

3) i don't want to mix my contacts in outlook with those on the iphone so i made a sub folder in addresses called iphone backup. the only way i could find to copy the phones contacts across was to hit the main sync button. this did music and other stuff, but didn't copy the contacts. 'sync address book contacts' was ticked. any idea what might be wrong?
