no, you would know if you did as youd have to sign or accept it as its a legal contract. they couldnt just spring it on you.

Re: changing sim

no, it won't start a new contract that I can see, since the phone is already activated. however, I'm not sure if the 3G part will work (depends on O2). For example, on Orange, 3G SIM's are different to 2G ones, but on Vodafone they work the same.

Re: changing sim

The sims in a 2G should be new enough to be 3G. Cant see why they'd manufacture 2G cards anymore when the majority of handsets are 3G, plus there backwards compatible.

Re: changing sim

thx guys,
thinking about it,im guessing that the 3g must still be on a contract as it is 2 months old, does this confuse things? for example can they block the phone? im not to wise on contracts etc as i have never had one i usually use pay and go.
i cant really see it being that dodgy as the bloke works same place as me but seems a bit odd why get rid of it so cheaply.

if down the line he does an insurace scam on it and says he lost it to claim another then it would get blockd.

Re: changing sim

is the 2g sim different from the sim that goes in the 3g version, meaning that if i put the 2g sim in it it wont actually let me use the 3g part of it, if you see what i mean?

Re: changing sim

The sim in the 2G should be the same as the 3G, it just doesnt have the hardware in the 2G to use the 3G part of the sim.
