iPhone 1st Gen upgrade to iPhone 3g

Hi,

i've searched around the forum, but can't find an answer to my questions so was hoping someone on here could help.

I currently have a iPhone 1st Gen, and as I'm on the £75 quid tariff can upgrade for free to the 16gb 3g iPhone.

I'm planning on doing this shortly, but am wondering can I transfer over: -

my contacts
my SMS
my Pictures in Camera Roll
my apps

Can anyone offer guidance on which of these can be done, which are done automatically and which I manually have to do something to transfer them.

Many Thanks!

Darryl!

Yes,

Via iTunes - it will sync what you want to copy onto your new iPhone - you just select the appropriate item from the iTunes menu.

When you sync your iphone all those are backed up, when you get your new iphone and plug it it you will get the option to setup as a new phone or restore from backup all you need to do is restore from your old phones backup and all your stuff will get transferred to your new phone.
