I am seriously considering buying an iphone to replace my current P1i. Of great importance to me is that the phone has an adequate tasks and calendar application. I am a teacher so my life isn't full of appointments but I do like to fill my calendar with all of the meetings for the year, any social activities I have planned and of course all of the Everton matches as before I got my P1i I was forever double booking or missing the few meetings I had.

Will the calendar on the iphone allow me to put in meetings and other things I have planned and then allow me to set a reminder for them?

I also like to store my to do list on my phone which generally consists of a main title and then a brief description when I highlight it on the P1i giving more detail. Would I be able to do this?

Teacher here too. I use the calendar app for all my timetable and lesson plans, together with mobile me this syncs evereything on all my devices.
