Screenshots on an iphone

I found out how to take screenshots on an iphone yesterday, hold down the hold/off button, and while holding it down press the home button...... the screen will flash and the camera sound will go off..... then go into your photos and into your camera roll and the screenshot will appear as the last photo you took

Re: Screenshots on an iphone

Something tells me that iPhone may be Jailbroken How is the stability of a Jailbroken phone these days? I tried it for a week or two with my 2G iPhone and it was not stable at all, almost as bad as v2.0 official firmware!

Re: Screenshots on an iphone

I really like this (not mine BTW, I don't have an iPhone )

I take it to do this you need Springboard, and to use that you need to the jailbreak the iphone? What else do you get from using springboard other than custom backgrounds?

Its getting there for me. This is my first iphone, but I use the powertool restart after I install everything. I think its pretty good, love my GBA games on there!

Re: Screenshots on an iphone

I was wondering how id managed to take a screengrab!! I just assumed it was a glitch!

Hutch, looks like an awesome theme. Whats it called? Theres one that changes the notes to white with blue top and lines. Would fit in nicely with the rest of your theme

Re: Screenshots on an iphone

ok, so after looking a bit on Google, looks like you need to jailbreak the phone and use Winterboard to mess with the wallpaper and themes/backgrounds?

What else does Winterboard let you do, or is it purely for themes/backgrounds?

Re: Screenshots on an iphone

Aha! I see! thank you

Honestly, one thing the iphone needs, to add to the list of many other things, is the ability to object push from it to a PC or Mac. This could so easily be restricted to rule out certain file types, like music and video, but allow you to push photo's you have taken, or contract vCards to your PC or Mac...

I'm gonna ring Steve Jobs up and offer him my services for heading up the iPhone development team at Apple in exchange for him flying me out there, giving me a house, sorting work permits, oh and a good $100,000 per year "donation"

Whats my chances?

You dont have to email pics to yourself. When you plug your iPhone in it should give you the option to import photos from the phone to your PC.
