While I'm pretty happy with the performance of my iPhone as an iPod, there's one thing thats bugging me - the quality of album artwork.

It might seem a bit petty but the colours all seem to be way too rich and look gaudy - even though in iTunes on my PC they look great - I have heard about some issues with Apple tinkering with the screens colour temperature but anything else on the phone looks good - its just the artwork.

Anyone else noticed this, or is there something I can do?

itunes artwork is crap, do it yourself.

Search for a decant pic of teh album cover, yourself using google images.

In itunes, highlight all the songs in the album, then click get info, then drag the artwork box.

Done.

I've been doing that already for years - the artwork looks fine in iTunes, but not on the phone...

looks brilliant on mine, i just find the highest res jpeg i can find and put that on

I used to put just anything on till i realised where i was going wrong

If you ask my girlfriend i have some sort of iTunes/iPhone OCD always sorting cover art or genres or checking spelling

My CD artworks looks great on my Mac and my iPhone. However I seem to be experience a weird problem with getting the artwork to display.

Take for instance the latest album I got, Scars For Broadway. Imported it in iTunes, and instantly the artwork appeared for it. Then I synced to my iPhone and the artwork was on my phone. However next time I synced my phone to my Mac (a few days later), the artwork for the album disappeared off my iPhone so I just have a black screen now when the song plays, but is still there on my Mac in iTunes. This has happened quite a few times, where album artwork randomly just doesn't seem to want to appear on my iPhone.

Any suggestions guys?

Just noticed the same earlier today - artwork is on PC and iPod video but not on the iPhone and only for one or two albums - bizzare!

Not noticed any problem with the quality of the images on either the iPhone or iTunes.

5 hours!! part timer mine took about 3 months.

Then i bought i bought an ipod and the heap of **** that is iTunes decided it wanted to change them all. It had done about 20% of my library before i realised and and pulled the plug. Then i had to but those right and copy my entire library to another drive. I now have 3 copies of my library - one on the PC, one in the safe and one at my mums in case the house burns down.
