iTunes bigger on iPhone than on PC.

I'm guessing this "problem" is down to file storage formats but here goes...

The iTunes directory on my Windows XP PC says I have 8.49gb of audio - on the iPhone it sees it as 8.67 - can anyone explain why?

Re: iTunes bigger on iPhone than on PC.

Windows XP uses the NTFS file system to store files on your hard drive, it will have a minimum cluster size (the minimum size a chunk of data can sit in, all data will have to be stored as a multipl of this), the iphone will use a file system that is not NTFS and will almost certainly have a different minimum cluster size and so you end up with slightly different sizes.
