Wifi problem with WPA-PSK network (Iphone 3G)

Having a strange problem with my 3g Iphone, on my netgear WPA-PSK wifi network.

It works fine with my neighbours unsecured network.

But with my network I can't seem to surf or pull any data once its connected. I've checked it gets an IP Address and even ping'd it from my laptop. So its connected fine and able to send/receive packets (ICMP atleast). But when I open the browser/maps/weather it just sits there like its not receiving anything.

I thought it maybe to do with the two DNS's it gets over DHCP, so edited it manually to one. But it still doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Re: Wifi problem with WPA-PSK network (Iphone 3G)

I had problems with my netgear router too, it was fine at first then it would just keep losing the connection. I tried the 'airplane mode' trick, it worked once or twice then it went back to losing the connection.
My sollution was a firmware upgrade for the modem (WPN824v2) no problems since then.
Hope this helps.
Iain.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

Wierd thing is the connection is fine. Just can't seem to surf anywhere. Usually would point to a DNS problem because pings work. But have tried changing DNS settings and no change
