Can I upgrade my i-Tunes safely??

Im on the 1st gen i-phone with firmware 1.14 and keep being asked to upgrade, can I do so safely and STILL then sync my i-phone with i-tunes safely afterwards?

I'm not sure why you would be asking the question unless your phone is unlocked and on a different contract. If you're phone is locked, you're on an official iPhone O2 contract and are referring to upgrading to 2.0 then there is no problem. If you have an unlocked phone on a different contract and want to do the same then I can't help with that and you're best off searching in the main 1st gen/2.0 thread.

Yes you can upgrade to the latest iTunes safely whether you are unlocked or locked. Only thing it stops is Warez Apps.

Thanks mate, thats great. Yes my phone is indeed UNLOCKED.

What are 'warez apps' though mate? I have some applications on my phone, I suppose these should still work after I have updated?
