So I was gonna use nuevasync to sync my google contacts and calendars, Ive got it all set up, but it said it was going to wipe all my current iphone calendars and contacts..... the whole point of it was i wanted it to back my iphone up, and use it to easily access all my info if i lose my iphone...

Is the only way round this to put all the information into googlemail first then sync? If so is there an easy way of doing it with the sync'd information already on my mac?

You can import a csv file of contacts into google contacts.

ill have a look later on, i know how to get contacts into vcards, there's probably another option somewhere
