You really dont have a clue what you are talking about do you
Opera Mini (not to be confused with Opera
Mobile) absolutely spanks Safari over GPRS connections (which is what i will mostly be using as 3G and wifi coverage is poor). Opera mini's backend servers super compress pages before sending to your phone, you dont need to test both apps on the same phone to know that a 200k page will load much faster than 2,000k.
I have seen pages that take over 2 minutes to load on an iPhone take about 5 seconds on Opera mini. In fact some pages render almost as fast on my old Sony Ericsson using Opera mini as they do on my PC. You lose some image quality and flash is not supported etc, but at least its very fast, usable and i can happily browse all day. Can save you money too as it can reduce they data being transferred by 10 times.
Safari is a great browser, probably the best mobile browser, but without 3g or GPRS it's painfully slow - Opera Mini is just about the only usable browser. Before you start calling people daft etc, at least know what you are talking about, else you look a bit daft mate.
Now can anyone actually answer my original question?
