SSH via O2 PAYG GPRS

All,

I have a unlocked iPhone running on a PAYG SIM on UK O2.

I have modded my preferences.plist and added my proxy.pac and I can now browse websites via Safari.

Now onto the next stage. I want to be able to ssh from my iPhone, over PAYG GPRS, to my server at home.

I can access the home website via HTTP over GPRS and can access the sshd daemon on the home server via my 802.11 connection, but ssh from the iPhone over GPRS just times out.

I'm guessing it's down to having to route via the O2 proxy? Has anyone else tried this? Do I need something like corkscrew to push SSH through the O2 proxy?

Cheers,

Rich.
