ive managed to get swirlymms and the two other programs needed installed.

got the details i found on here for vodafone and put them into the settings..

mms has been fetched and i can view it on the phone.

when i highlight the picture, then click the send tab....

i then get an option to email or cancel.

i hit email

and nothing happens........ just goes back to the start again..


any ideas why ??

Well, just been trying to do it on my phone and I get the same result.Must be a bug that needs fixing.
I then tried to copy the mms file, (within finder), and paste in into the DCIM/100APPLE folder. I then renamed it IMG_0001.JPG (as are all my other photos in this format), hoping to find it in my photo library.
I thought I could then send it via email in the normal way. Unfortunately there is no sign of it in my photo library.

So sorry dude but I'm stumped as well. Somebody out there must know a quick way of getting your recieved MMS photos into your library so you can then send them via email as it clearly doesn't work within Swirly (yet)

just realised there are 2 files of the same photos in the DCIM/100APPLE folder. the other has the extension .THM So copied and pasted the photo again into the DCIM/100APPLE folder and renamed it IMG_0001.THM.
Which means there are now 2 files of the same photo in the folder 100APPLE (within Finder) one named IMG_0001.JPG and the other IMG0001.THM and I now have the mms photo in my library, which means I can send it via email in the normal way

Very long winded if you ask me but if you do get a photo via MMS that you really want to send via email then that's the way to do it for now, but it's got to be worth the hassle. Of course if someone out there is using SwirlyMMS to resend their MMS via email then let's hear ya

just tested it and it works. I managed to a photo to myself.

I use SwirlyMMS in conjunction with a program called iMMess

It allows you to save the images directly to the "Camera Roll" list which you can then perform all the usual functions on such as use-as-wallpaper, email, etc.

I find it much easier, a lot less messing about

just tried to install immess but it told me i need jiggy runtime

so installed that then immess and all sorted.
