Dropped it now no ringing?

My unlocked iPhone fell off the kitchen top this evening and landed on the corner by the silent ringing switch. It has dented the casing slightly and the switch moved to silent, however now when i move it to ringing it does not change the setting. Everything else works it is just silent when ringing, i have only had it a month, dont tell me this is the end of its life already, help.....

is there an overide or a way to get into the iphone.

Try plugging y'er headphones in - then unplugging them (Sometimes the software thinks they're plugged in). If that doesn't work - Reboot. If that doesn't work - Refurb with ziphone and jail break etc,. If that doesn't work - You've broke it...

Sounds like a headphone socket issue, as Adama says trying plugging in and unplugging some headphones a few times.

If that doesnt work try resetting all settings on the phone.

The silent ringer button hasnt been flicked has it?

Restoring wont make a difference.

I think it is the switch that is knackered, so a hardware as apposed to software issue. Bloody annoying. Found these guys on the net so will give them a call as they are local to me. I could try myself but could also bugger it completely. http://www.iphone-repairs.co.uk/index.html
