haven't been able to register with the cloud

haven't been able to register with the cloud

I'm rarely somewhere with the cloud so it hasn't bothered me but I've tried a couple of times recently and I'm confused.

I've had a o2 contract iphone since december and have never managed to get the log in screen for the cloud to register my phone number.

I followed the instruction to select the cloud in the wifi settings and then go to bookmarks in safari, at which point I loose the cloud wifi and get Edge. Have I misunderstood something?

By the way I rebooted my iphone and cleared the cache and everything too.
