what is this counting exactly ? texts?

It's counting data usage

Data is webpages, iTunes downloads, email, YouTube etc. Not phone calls or texts. Also, it only counts data downloaded over the phone network, not WiFi.

mines showing sent and recieved usage 56 and 612kb respectively . but ive not knowingly downloaded anything .

Cool, my new phone has wifi, so as long as I connect via a wifi connection and not GSM or GPRS, it won't count the data transferred? That's a rather handy thing to know, I'll get that set up for wifi ASAP.
