Buzzing interference during calls

My iphone has suddenly developed a very annoying buzzing during calls, it doesnt do it all the time which leaves me a little confused as to what the problem is. It seems to do it whenever it chooses doesnt matter what area im in either and is so loud i cant hear who im calling and they cant hear me. Has anyone experienced this? I am thinking about restoring the phone and seeing if that cures it but want to get some other ideas before i do because restoring then reinstalling all the apps is a pain in the arse.
If its buggered does anyone know where i stand on getting it repaired under warrenty as its been unlocked? I could restore it and bring it back to standard but how do i explain the lack of an o2 contract?

EDIT- Restored the phone and the buzzing has gone for now but when i make a call the other person can only hear me very faintly. Sounds like a got a faulty iphone Is there any cahnce i can get this repaired under warranty? I can restore (i have upgraded the bootloader too) and this will return it to factory but its still not been registered fora contract (i know they cant refuse a reapair for that reason as it says so on the apple site). This wont explain how i know it has a microphone fault withot admitting to them its been unlocked. Any ideas anyone? I really dont want a 6 week old expensive paperweight and i cant go back to the misery of an n95 after owning such a beautiful phone.

You cant, the only way I could think of is that if it definitely needs fixing you'll have to restore and sign up for a proper iphone contract and then take it back.

Unless anyone else has managed it any other way? Just goes to show how few faults there are with the iphones because once unlocked very few people have to return phones to be fixed.

Re: Buzzing interference during calls

Thats what i thought, looks like its back to my miserable n95 again. Will wait for the new iphone and sign up to a contract this time i think, cant be bothered with the hassle again, its a lot of money to go down the drain after such a short time.
