hi there,

i've got a jailbroken 1.4 iphone working on an orange contract in the UK.

everything was working fine but now i can't use any of the internet services.

i think it may have started after i connected to wi-fi at my work. for a while safari kept going to the user login page rather than google. so maybe i didn't logoff or close it down properly?

i've turned of wi-fi but i don't know how it's trying to connect or what's going on.

it often gives me the error:

''safari can't open the page because the network connection was lost''

this maybe a reception thing but it never seems to work wherever i am.

can anybody tell me what's gone wrong?

have you checked your APN settings, sometimes my iphone loses them for some silly reason....

sorry, i'm pretty crap with this technology. what's APN?

what should it be set to?

Settings/General/Network/EDGE

Check that the correct Orange settings are in there
